Riko/Reg Mode cleared - Start from clear save?

I just finished seemingly the story of Riko and Reg which ended already after Ozen... not even met nanachi...
Now I have a kind of NG+ for Riko, does that do anything? Do I get further if I play this or what is the reason of this save state ?

back in the day you could only play 'deep in abyss' game mode after clearing 'hello abyss' game mode, but they removed the restriction, now the clear save mark indicates you got the achievement, that's all there is to 'hello abyss' in this game, because the gameplay with unlocking weapons, skills, recipes, abyss layers is on 'deep in abyss' mode
