do you know anything about the backpack? i love it small so i can see my character, so i want to keep it small forever & avoid anything that make it big. Two person claimed that their backpack become big after becoming black whistle, seems that's not the case.
You just put a file in the game folder, and the max visual size for your backpack becomes "medium"
nice info! it will be useful if i ended has to take the backpack skills
i have the relic grade 2 set worn and it matches awesomely with the big backpack.
i turned aswell today into a white whistle and finished the game ^.^.
was totally worth the money, made a lot of fun.
going well prepared down into the 5th layer puts you already up to 15000g~16000g
that includes a proper armor set which alone at that tier level weights 3000g and if you have the grade 2 relic armor set go you up to 4000g alone with your armor, then the black wistle pickax is aswell 1200?`or was it even 1500? iunno i use the grade 2 relic pickax which weights 2000g, so i am alone with that at 6000g, then i need to take with me proper hatchets to defend myself when climbing and food.
when i go down into the 4th and 5th layer weight i often with equip+food+salt+spice on me to turn the soft meat from the octopus things into neat training ration meat over 15000g. theres not much space with your 17000g backpack, relelics weight a lot in the 5th layer too, with what do you want to come back, nothing? and when bondrewd gives you the final quest need you to bring 5 double bells, 600g each, then 5 maze twines, 250g each and 5 of those heart things, forgot the full name but they are aswell 350g each. i wanna see you bringing all this with equip, food and so on to bondrewd with an 17000g backpack. when i brought that stuff down was i at 177xxg

I originally posted these challenges in another thread, and I found it was inappropriate and deleted it. Now I post these challenges again, you can have a look If you are interested:

I even spent all my saving slots for these challenges:

I see, but even if they match, i can't see my character from behind anymore, that kinda bothers me. Seeing my character is very important to me.
Thanks for the useful info, especially about bondrewd's quest but i think i'm going to be fine with the load. Currently i started the adventure with 12k weigh. Yeah, my equipments are quite out of date because i want to keep my character cute lol (especially the scarlet skirt!). I'm also using hatchet/bow (grade 3 relic tier, but i plan to upgrade my bow to grade 2) so maybe that plays a part in making it a bit light

i wrote "with gear you would usually wear at layer 5"
that means, you would wear atleast the agile set+black whistle pickax.
then preparing yourself for going down with food and co.
like this is what i mean
https://gyazo.com/8acfb9936c91d99c0aa7a0c1270e5a26
and this doesnt even includes having food, ropes and other stuff in my backpack and doesnt even includes the hatchets i use for the spawn mobs of which i have usually 5 with me aswell.
that you did a challenge to do this is your way, fact is. casually played (without turning it into a challenge) would it be nearly impossible to do this with a lv 6 backpack.
like you can see, am already over 12k without any food, ropes and co.
and well
to this can i only say... character fetish? and well, use the mod for it then but i can guarantee you, a 17k backpack will not be enough to do propper dives into the 5th layer except you want to die multible times with just 1 hit like Mr.I. ofcourse you can avoid like everything in this game but some fights are mandatory and you will die over and over in those fights, mostlikely getting oneshotted.
btw ... seeing your character, does this mean that if your character is fully covered in armor dislike you that too? ... just asking for a friend >_>.
Armors are only useful when you are getting hit. Even with the meshed suit, the 2 final bosses don't pose much threat.
As for weapons, one grade 3 relic gun is more than enough to defeat both of them, therefore, plenty of space for other things.
It's not like I'm asking others to play like me, I'm just explaining why "I find that the game is perfectly playable with 17kg (level 6) backpack capacity". It's a subjective feeling rather than an objective conclusion.
Resource management and mission planning are important. You don't have to carry everything at the beginning. Even if you do, you will gradually deplete your supplies and release space for relics.
