But combos aren't really worth outside of bosses, yeah. It's better to one hit weak point and run usually.
You rarely have opportunity to do a combo unless you are fine trading blows until you or enemy dies.
Pretty much approach > evade grab > 2 hits > walk away without sprinting/dodging to upkeep stamina infinitely and repeat process until death.
Doable as a moon whistle this way since Ozen has no chance to fight back against this in any way.
There is a cheese strategy if you can't get the rhythm for above where you just let her grab you after which she can't attack you until curse is over so you can fit in up to 4 attack + 3 attack combo(unless she blocks in which case just eat the food), walk away slightly and then eat laffi lunch or type 4 ration... in which case combo saves you a bit food but is ultimately not required either.
Combo isn't that bad. What's even worse is the "charged hit". Not sure if it's just me, but it usually goes into the charge hit mode for a split second even when hitting with the pickaxe normally. Worst talent ever.
Just managed to beat her as a moon whistle, took 3 low relic pickaxes. But even then, half her grabs reminded me of Marth grab ranges. Silly sht.
Oh, she can actually block during the cheese of the curse too, just not 100% chance for it to happen.
She is also pretty easy from range too, she has 3 moves there:
1) Dash towards you and grab - simply running is pretty much a 100% chance to avoid that one unless you go into grab hand direction
2) Throw a rock - a 100% chance to avoid from decent range if you run in any side direction
3) Throws pebbles when she crushes the rock - most annoying one, needs you to hold forward + left direction buttons and dodge roll. Took me a while to figure out, since pretty much the only other way is timing immortal frames of emergency dodge.
But yeah, nothing beats Orb Piercer in terms of sheer difficulty IMO..
Fast attacks, ultra fast movement, unique poison only removable via Nanachi antidote.
If not for it's medium HP it would be the one true boss of the game.
But Ozen at least requires you to learn what she can do... all other bosses including post game are pretty much as simple as go in > smash attack button > win.
Every Orb Piercer fight is literally whoever rushes the other first wins.
