all old unreal tournament games dont run on windows 8

get all unreal tournament games on windows 7 i can only play unreal tournament 3 on windows 8 and the rest just fights me trust me windows 7 is the way to go at the moment with unreal

I can run every unreal game, from the original Unreal to the newest Unreal Tournament 3, on both my Windows 8 PC and my Windows 8 Laptop (both 64 bit) with no problems

thats weird because i cant and i have 64bit also :/ and i have no problems when i use my windows 7 64bit i dont know whats up about that but either way i would just not recommend getting it on windows 8 thats all

I can confirm that UT2003 and UT2004 run without any error on Win 2000 + XP (32-bit), Win 7 (32 + 64 bit) and Win 8 (64-bit). It does not require a compatability mod or any trick at all.

what Type of Win 8 are you using ive herd that Win 8 compared to Win 8 pro Has trouble Launching ALOT of games. Im using Win8 pro and most games run fine unless its ap roblem with my CPU(Damn it AMD why cant people fix their games to use your FXseries...)

Try a BIOS update to fix gamecrashes with your FX. Be careful with the following link. Find out which mainboard you own and manually search for firmware updates at the website of the manufacturer.

Windows 8 has Windows 2012 Server virtualization implemented. You are in theory and in practise able to run more kinds of outdated programs without any error.

Damn! Can't run this on my Win 8 Pro 64 bit. For whatever reason it launches and only shows black screen which minimizes then and I can't put it back on screen it keeps minimizing. Anyone has any ideas or maybe had the same problem?

I'm having a bit of a similar problem. I can launch both Unreal Gold and UTGOTY, but both have horrible in-game framerates, along with mouse lag. I updated my DirectX, and still encountered the same problem. What's going on there?
