Xbox 360 controller issue!

so when i have my xbox 360 controller plugged in its recognized but x or y axis keeps spinning the screen...sorry if i dont make sense i dont how to explain it in words really. would really like this solved.....If i was way tooo confusing feel free to ask Questions.

This game isn't made for the 360 controller, and considering how it released a year before the 360 I don't know how you'd expect native suppport. Also, this is probably the worst game you could play a controller with. Either get Unreal Championship or use keyboard and mouse.

true true but the thing is i got this controller that has a nunchuck and a mouse fragfx so i was hoping that this was fixable so i could use it. the movement of the character is pretty good on the controller though but not so much to looking around thingy

That describes prety much any fps game on a controller. The movement works pretty well, but aiming is complete trash. This game should be played on keyboard and mouse because it requires precise aim.

If you REALLY want to use a controller, find a program that binds controller input to keybinds, and set it up so the controller emulates kb+m input, should work fairly well for you, dont blame me when people actually using kb+m frag the ♥♥♥♥ outta you though

After playing this game for the good part of a decade I cant imagine how one could even play this with anything other than a keyboard and mouse!! Hahha

yes but i use a kinda hybrid so to speak one part controller the other mouse

I really wish people would sometimes keep their opinions to themselves.

Some of us just want to play it casually once in a while and gamepad is the perfect way to do so. Please don't take that personally.

I don't understand how people can play a FPS game casually with a controller though. Whenever I play a FPS with a controller all I can think about is how awkward it feels. Especially with a fast paced, skill-based game like Unreal Tournament.

Sorry for ultra-late reply, saw this thread. JoytoKey lets you bind keyboard Keys to your controller. Meaning say you press the X button, it's as if you hit the W button on the keyboard (example). Hope that helped if you still play.

I started this topic but figured it out on my own anyways....a long long time ago....and playing unreal with an xbox controller isnt the best will admit but did you know that they had unreal tournament for the original xbox looks pretty cool and fun. Im surprised anyone is still looking at this...honeslty why some of you hating lol kinda wasting your time. it sounds like we all love the same game so why argue over it......oh wait i got it!!!!! this will really set some people off hahahaha muwahahahahaha IM USING A STEAM CONTROLLER NOW!!!!! and i love it to death.
