Connection Failed issue
Recently I opened ut2k4 again and I'm getting "connection failed" on the bottom right corner when trying to join a game. I click on the internet tab and no servers display. I checked my firewall and it appears to be allowed by windows firewall. I've installed and reinstalled the game several times and checked online for solutions but can't figure out what the problem is.

Anyone else have this problem?

I saw that but I had a friend recently pull up his ut2k4 and he shows servers listed on his internet tab. Is this wrong or are ALL servers down?

Go to the System folder of your game and open the UT2004.ini file.

Search for the section with [IpDrv.MasterServerLink]

and replace the content with the one below. Boot your game and play.

[IpDrv.MasterServerLink]
MasterServerList=(Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902)

I've looked all over online for solutions. This was the first I've seen of this and it worked! I greatly appreciate it. Would you know if connecting on LAN would work as normal with this change?

Lan connection should always work unless ports are closed by software or routers
