Download times

So I upgraded to the new master servers and found a few active servers but they all take eons to download what I assume are custom assets.
Is there any way to help with that or is it just something that comes with the territory?

Only thing I can say is get better Internet. The master server is only used to display server information. Custom assets are hosted on an individual basis so it's dependant on their send and receive speeds, your own send and receive speeds and the location you are based on the individual server. Its that or join a server without custom assets (which barely exist or are dead)

I guess it's just weird because I can play games like Gmod and the like that require similar of me and my internet downloads them pretty fast, so i'm not sure why Unreal is so different.

It can technically be server dependant. If they dont have a good redirect, they wont send the files fast enough

Maybe some of them do not have a redirect yet.

My internet is ok, but sometimes its servers who allow me dload custom content on very low speed. Maybe it depends on server location or whether or not there are playing players. idk
