oh really? and, what exactly qualifies you to speak on behalf of the entire community?
oh, that's right, nothing.
so speak for yourself.
If the idea of qualification to talk about is your argument, please go and contemplate your argument, as telling me what i can and cant talk about isn't a valuable discussion point.
Maybe the graphics do not bother me as I grew up with it,
It's 18 years old?
Are you talking about the same thing as us?
We want a REMASTER of an 18 year old game, so basically 4k textures and resolution support with maybe Steam friends integration...
Please read my message again. I said UT4 is a game, not ut2004. Who is we? Just seems to be one guy? Most people who are good at modding can add 4k textures and steam support into the game without a remaster needed. A remaster just for that is a waste of time and money and wont gain a greater playerbase in relation to these additions. Asking for a remaster instead of going iut and modding the game yourself is extremely entitled and demanding. Not worth the time and effort for something so small. Ut4 was that break where, through the epic launcher, you could play with mates, and 4k textures of the game were available. Play that if you want those features. If you dont, dont come asking for a remaster for the sake of it.
UT2004 would thrive if remastered.
UT3 killed the game's future - FTFY.
The UT series started going downhill with the release of UT 2003 which really disappointed many UT99 fans. UT 2004 was an improvement over UT 2003, but much of the damage had already done. UT3 then failed to bring back the UT99 fans and to appeal to the UT 2004 fans and really didn't end up appealing to anyone as a result of its being released in a buggy beta-like condition with a severely consolized user interface. By the time the UT4 project started years later, the franchise only had a tiny fraction of its former player base around.
It was a brand new game they were developing with the community and then abandoned it and left it to die to focus on Fortcrap. The community already knew this after months without an update and it took them a few years to officially confirm that development stopped. That shows how little they care for UT. Couldn't even be bothered to tell the community the moment they decided to abandon it.
