Accessing server via web browser
Hi! I'm trying to start a dedicated UT2004 server for me and some friends. I tried using WebAdmin so I could access the server remotely through a web browser, but it hasn't been working out. If anyone knows anything, let me know.

These were the steps I took.
> Opened port 7777 for the server itself
> Opened port XXXX for the
> Opened UT2004, hosted game, checked WebAdmin, chose port XXXX for it, set the admin password and user, and clicked "Dedicated" on the bottom right.
> Joined server to make sure it worked, and it did.
> Accessed the server via the web browser by using [public IP address]:[XXXX].
> Sometimes I'll actually get asked for the username and password, at other times not. Either way, it eventually times itself out.

For some reason it also takes an absurd amount of time to even get to that username/password screen.

Thanks!

Yeah. I ported both.

Also I've seen you on a lot of these discussions. You've been playing for a while, huh? :o

If you get the loginscreen inconsistent and after long loadtimes it sounds like the issue is not directly related to the game. Reset router/modem and try to disable the antivirus temperary to rule anything out?

Yeah, I've been around since the demo of UT2003 and played well over 20k hours 03/04 combined.

It seems temporarily shutting down my firewall altogether loads some of the page, but most of the page still either times out, or remains broken. I'm guessing the extremely long loadtimes aren't common either?

nope, i ran several servers in the past with the webadmin, but the pages would load instantly unless the server is changing maps.

Darn. I'll ask someone I know to try it on their network and see if it's an individual thing. I'll send him my configs to replicate the same setup.

Props to you for sticking with this game for so long.
