As the title says. Is it possible to directly connect to servers in UT2004?

Can you elaborate what exactly is not working for you?

Try this below in the console and you should enter a server.
Open 80.4.151.145:5777

Update the following in UT2004.ini in System folder in UT2004's installed folder.
Comment out the existing MasterServerList lines, and add the new line for MasterServerList for OpenSpy.

[IpDrv.MasterServerLink]
LANPort=11777
LANServerPort=10777
;MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master1.epicgames.com",Port=28902)
;MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master2.epicgames.com",Port=28902)
MasterServerList=(Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902)

This will change the masterserver list to point to OpenSpy community servers (because Epic has shut down its own UT MasterServers), and you can then join/host the game on Internet (multiplayer). Enjoy!

There is another master server host called 333networks. They can also be added to the .ini - in case one goes down, the other will work.

If both are up, the game kind of just picks one randomly.

LANPort=11777
LANServerPort=10777
MasterServerList=(Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902)
[MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master.333networks.com",Port=28902)
MasterServerList=(Address="ut2004master.errorist.eu",Port=28902)

That's us :surprisedbs:

Another option is to right click in the server browser, there should be an option to "Open IP" which is the same as the console command, just visual.
