The AI doesn't learn. There's no "neural network" as they advertised. It's a basic AI that's sometimes worse than the first game's AI.

if the Ai used NEAT ( NeuroEvolution of Augmenting Topologies ) - it's not even learning.

if they did use it, though - the game would actually become unplayable in a few months.
the ai would swiftly blockade players at the earliest possible chance, without threat elevation.
bc in NEAT, you are only evolving - there's no going back.
the problem is it will not learn, it will only " learn " what is most being used, and players also seek the dominantn strategy. If the game works at all like the first one, then you cannot avoid some areas. Like a crucial door, or latch - platform, etc.
The Ai will know about this area before any player would, and it would just dust anyone unfortunate enough to get near this area.

if ppl stopped going there, they wouldnt finish the game - and in NEAT the AI is going to want to be rewarded for positive behavoir- its super complex and in the end its impossible to implement this into a game that isnt a live servcie, or timed or anything.

I don't think any game would use NEAT, or if they would, it would have limitations in place to keep it in check. Imagine booting a game like GTA V as a new player, in 2022 only to have hardcore police AI that mastered how to drive and shoot, for example. It would be terrible.

No the AI is crap. I had two instances (posted on my twitter feed) after only playing for an hour (I got it through GamePass so I don't own it on Steam). The neighbor got stuck behind the bookcase in his bedroom. From that point onward I ransacked the house without any interruption. 10 minutes later when I went into the musicians house he got stuck staring at the wall and I was able to waltz right past him and complete that mission. Then there's this little loop where the cop would come in and out of the door and never see me.

Quality release.

Reguardless they should have told their communities that this was being removed.
