Alternate master server: UT3 OpenSpy Patch

Hello:

As I already mentioned here, the release of Unreal Tournament 3X does not yet have its date, so the OpenSpy server is used for the current release of UT3 2.1 (Black Edition).

Therefore, in order for your game to work, you need to install the UT3 Openspy Patch in the game, this is a modified UT3.exe file with redirection to OpenSpy. After installing the patch and launching the game you will be prompted to create your account, the old account will not work (you can create a new registration with the old name), after creating the account you can use the game like years before.

You can see my servers online now in the in-game server browser. Patch works for all copies of the game (Steam, DVD disc)

Extract the downloaded file into your game, for example:
D:\Game(s) 2.0\Steam\steamapps\common\Unreal Tournament 3\Binaries

So be sure to update your copies of Unreal Tournament 3 and GL/HF 😉


If you cannot log in after creating a new login, try this dll which should solve this problem.

If the problem persists?

You only can login if in UTEngine.ini Language is set to "INT"
if you have installed with specific language go to C:\Users\ [your name]\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config -> open "UTEngine.ini" with editor. search for "language" and set it to "INT". Save file

Then only use VPN, or try to find a patch elsewhere. I can't spread another link here, I've been reprimanded for it in the past. PCGamingWiki it also has some openspy UT3 patch
