Invalid CD key
So I bought the Unreal Bundle a while ago and have been enjoying it, but I've not been able to play UT3, because it always gives me the 'Invalid CD Key' error. I have contacted Epic Games Support, and this is what they responded with:
Hello Natalie,
Thanks for contacting Epic Games Player Support.

If you are having issues with a key provided by Steam you will need to contact their support department directly as we don’t handle the CD Keys distributed on their platform.

Thanks so much!

Now, I don't blame Epic Games or KonG, I'm flattered that he responded, even. So, like KonG suggested, I tried contacting Steam Support. I couldn't find anything, not even any article. The closest thing is the Retail CD key article, which is of no help. Do you guys know who to contact or just how to fix this?

Found a fix, I had the game uninstalled for a while from a different PC, always backed up my Docs folder in windows. Deleted the UnrealTournament folder and it took my key on next launch and entry!

Open a Steam support ticket.

So my CD Key is also reading as invalid. Can you please elaborate on exactly what folder I would delete to fix this issue?

C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3
Delete the Unreal Tournament 3 folder. Then validate the game files.

The game folder doesn't exist in that directory for me, so that won't even work.

So I found all of this stuff on an older hard drive of mine and deleted it there. However even that didn't fix anything. I guess I'm just screwed from ever playing this game ever again no matter how many copies or keys I have. GREAT design.

Quite a Necro mate.

Anyway, if you're on Win10 make sure to check both your documents folder, your Onedrive documents folder, and the place that "documents" points to (if you've changed that). It's probably that problem but some permutation of it.

Good call with the Onedrive ♥♥♥♥. I'll have try again some other time, but I'll update if that helped or not.

So on my non Steam copy, I managed to get it to work, but only by straight up logging in as administrator. I'll see if my steam copy does the same thing tomorrow morning, but at least I have some method of playing again, if not cumbersome.

Hm. If you haven't checked Onedrive I'd try that, because maybe admin can't access your onedrive? I'd check that, if not at least it works
