About the cat
Do you *kill* it? I'm interested in the game but I'd rather not play it if the cat dies.

I know it's just a game, but I'd still rather not kill a cat, real or otherwise.

No, the cat lives after you beat it and runs off, and you'll see him again later in the story.

For the most part, unless it's made obvious in the post-battle scene, the game seems to default to enemies either getting knocked out or fleeing instead of dying, so you won't have the deaths of many individuals on your conscience.

Nice. Guess I'll buy this game soon. Thanks!

Good to know. I don't know how I feel yet about doing harm like that to any animal, really just seeing the "pocket knife sword" feels all kinds of wrong to me when it's drawn to a cat in a real life environment like this, and a LIGHTER, too! Like, how cruel can it get, if you play this out? Even when it's still fiction, and even when it's clearly cartoonified, and even though I played hunting games where you point rifles at deer. This is different somehow to me. I'll give it some thought.
