Unreal 2 intro does have issues ever since Windows Vista

This game requires a minimum with DirectMusic, which Windows XP has it

I have it on a vmware, ones I play unreal 2 on Windows XP, the intro seems fine.

You can fix the issues by installing directx 9c. Or I believe the option is in the control panel.

I did all of that on windows 10 or 11, and it still didn't work.

Because again ever since vista, they completely obsoleted direct music

I'm not risking my life to download a third party software from random websites just to fix it.

Therefore, that's why I'm using windows xp for unreal 2

Except I can play it fine in windows 10. On both my desktop and my laptop. All I needed to do was install Directx9c.

I did a same thing, it still didn't work.

It might not be directmusic causing your issue then. The point is I can play it. So therefore you saying you cant in windows 10 is wrong.

I agree direct x music does not come as standard with later windows, however you can install it.

If you check my profile, you will see I just reinstalled and played Unreal II. Granted I only played just past the intro when your are on the planets surface and walked around for like 5 mins, however the point is. It ran fine, with sound.
I have ran it on an acer predator laptop, an amd 8350 and this Ryzen 3600, all running windows 10.

I can also post vids, here is someone running it in win 10 at 4k.

I appreciate that, but this video did said it does requires directmusic, sure, I can, if I want to take a risk of my life like getting a viruses.

So therefore, using Windows XP on virtual machine would be recommanded for me.

Why do you keep going on about viruses? I fixed it by simply installing directx 9c. You can install it from the Unreal II folder. Simply browse local files, go into direct x and run it.

That or you can download straight from Microsoft.

Is just an intro that you launch has issues and will result end up have white screen most of the time.

Again, an intro needs directmusic in order to be fixed

And plus why am I going about viruses? Because I always get viruses, due to russian hackers or chinese hackers.
