Unreal II: The Awakening

Unreal II: The Awakening

Worst Seaquel Ever - An Inquiry
I have some questions for the Unreal 2 community:

1. Did Aida and the blue alien dude survive the explosion?
3. Does Unreal 2 exist in the same universe as The Elder Scrolls Oblivion (voice actor of John is a redguard in Oblivion)
4. Why is the sniper and shotgun in the same weapon category?
5. Is this the worst seaquel to ever hit the barren seas of Napali?
6. Why does this game have issues on modern platforms?
7. Can someone emulate this game on Xbox for me so I can play with the better graphics and controller, please? Mouse and keyboard hurts my wrists. I would really, really appreciate it. If you have a Patreon I’ll even throw a few dollars your way.
8. Can you please watch my video?

Thanks in advance!

1. Probably not.
2. Uhm... the question does not exist.
3. I don't think so.
4. Who knows ?? Why are my cat and I living in the same apartment ?? Ask the developers.
5. Well, its the only sequel to Unreal ever made, so the answer is yes. But I don't consider it a bad game.
6. The game is from 2002. I have issues with modern stuff, I didn't have 18 years ago, so how do you think a game feels ??
7. I don't know how to do that. I could use the money though....
8. I did.

And you're welcome.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! :)))

1) No... its like clear, they died , not only they leave him a message saying goodbye. But its also clear that u cant survive an explosion of a giant ship like that.

2) I dont know. Both are their own games in their own genre , universe.

3) what? the shotgun is in 1 slot and the sniper in 4

4) No , i dont think so. Yeah i know its not the same scenario that Unreal 1. But , they did this and i think is a good game.

5)i did not have any issue.

6) i dont know to do that, sorry.

7) Nice video, basically Unreal 1.

I have to say, some of these questions are bizarre. i am not sure you quite understand how difficult some of the things are that you are asking.

1, Clearly not if you made it to the ending and watched it.

2.?

3. So because an actor happens to voice a character in 2 different games, they must be in the same Universe? So Marvel, DC, Star wars, Call of Duty, God of War, lord of the rings, Halo, Skylanders, World of Warcraft, Uncharted, Guild wars, Dying light, little big planet, Diablo, titanfall, Final Fantasy, Saints row, Metro last night, Assassins creed, Transformers, Syndicate, rage, Tron, Supreme Commander +loads more

You think these and more are all possibly in the same universe as the same voice actor was in them? The guy is Nolan North, just done an immense amount of voice acting work.

4. They are classified as big guns.

5. As pointed out its the only sequel, so technically you could also say its the best sequel. To be fair i know what you mean, its a bad sequel to the first game, but its a good game in its own right, which it is actually meant to be, it was not meant to follow the first game. Like non of the far cry's follow the previous games etc.

6. Because they did not have crystal balls back in 2002, they have no idea what hardware and software we would be running 18 years later.....even if they somehow did, why would that change anything, you write games for the hardware and software that people are using at the time.
When you think about it, you are actually running a completely different computer to what was available back then, nothing is the same, not 1 thing, no interface chipset, no video chipset nothing. You have completely different hardware and software, its amazing that so many old games actually work without loads of issues, or using something like DOSBOX, which emulates older pc's :p

Can your modern phone run the exact same software as your 2002 mobile, Can your Apple run any software from 2002? Nope.

7. Its not as simple as just emulate. Even if you could emulate the game (which you kind of cant, there is no pc emulator for the xbox), even if Microsoft allowed it and someone did, its not going to have better graphics it would be the same game.....i play Amiga/megadrive/nes games on my pc all the time, they do not suddenly get better graphics. You would need a combination of an updated/completely new engine, new textures and someone would need to re-code the game for the xbox controller, this is not a simple thing to do, your pretty much talking a full remaster. No-one in their right mind is going to do that for this old thing. Given how much work would need to be put in.

A few patreon dollars is not going do it, try funding a full development team for at least six months to a year. that is even if you somehow got permission from the publisher and Microsoft to do it.

8. I may do later :)
