Wouldn't that require me to make the other three red parts as one shape? I'm struggling to figure out how I'd do that, with the circle quarters and the NE spike being different sizes.
I combined the right side middle 2 rows first Sr------:--Cr----
By using extra pieces overlapped then splitting them EX. Sr--Sr--:--CrSr--

Then i combined the top 2 objects white circle+ left side of 2nd object

I don't understand the rules of the merger's layer behavior at all. It's frustrating enough to make me want to stop playing if the rest of the game is gonna feel this arbitrary...
Thank for your solution. The concept is working. Now it is just a mass production issue.
The issue is with that type of shape, just like the famous level 18 pre - update, it is the empty space, and when you pack a shape on top of a empty space, the bottom piece is put in place with the top piece. The only way is to figure out a way to place a piece on top to make it small, and cut the unwanted piece. Tricky ...yes ... the only way to 'fool' the assembler.
Basically an electrical 4 shape merger where if you put power to a specific slot that piece would always come out small.
I have spent half a night trying to make it work. I haven't tried your solution but I am fairly certain that would not work. The red bits would be the same size.
Might be something that changed in the latest version. No matter what you do, if the game can bring together 2 layers into one layer it will do it. In this case the red bits are adjacent layers that are not overlapping, so they will be merged.
