Search for shape?

Could there be some way to search for a shape? For example, there is a shape I call the 'red fan'. It is required for Tier II Mixing and Painting. I spent a while searching the map for an example and never found one. Ended up making the shape, but am still unsure whether the shape exists somewhere on the map.

The best "Windmill" is a half one. A full one does not exist.

i call it star (rotated 45 degrees with 4 points) and yes, it exists (but found only one deposit in my playtrought, so had to use cut for other needs)

"A star is guaranteed to be found near the hub. It will be 4 chunks to the right, 1 to the top always. :)" -this was written by developer in another thread, i think that is due to level 10 goal shape, cause you cant merge shapes yet (i think)

and i would also like shape finder, even if it was made to cost something like blueprint shapes

Bad idea as star and windmill are two different shapes in the game.

Look at https://viewer.shapez.io and use
SuSuSuSu for star and WuWuWuWu for windmill.
Just to make sure we are talking about the same shapes.

On that very site you can also see the correct names for the shapes.

Star does exist in game as a complete shape.
Windmill does not.

It's not a question of luck and/or exploration, game is hardcoded that way.

oh, sry about my reading abilities, i thought of star first and somehow forgot about that "windmill" shape that is real pain.

checked it and all Wu shapes im cutting from half patterns (and if i remember correcly, i looked for full-one but didnt find any)

Spend a loong tine looking myself on my first playthrough :)

But we are derailing the thread.

yep, as i said above, it would be nice but i wouldnt mind paying some shapes as with blueprints shapes

for me a big main part of the game is to handle non fitting parts, editing them and build the shapes I want to have. I dont like preset fitting shapes.
after level 18 you have to cut and cut and cut and puzzle to get the chaotic shapes and colors the developer wants to haha

Just replying to this because I was going to ask the same Q. Given the "best windmill is a half", and the sheer amount of space you have, it's trivial to split/rotate/combine a "field" to quickly create an uncoloured windmill farm that you can then run towards your factory/hub.
