Will we eventually be able to play as a monster type faction?

ie Orcs, Goblins, Undead, Lizardmen or something like that?

absolutely YES! We'll make the dark side available after our full release and will introduce 2 more avatars with complete new troops as DLC's.

How many playable Factions do you ultimately plan on having?

4 on light sie and 3 on dark side - but all this depends on having a good early access and an even better full release.
