How does the coop work in this game?

I noticed is asymmetrical VR so i understand one player will be in VR while the other will not but apparently the host has to be streaming this (hopefully parsec works) but is there a lot of involvement is for the whole campaign?

can you help me understand how to do it? I tried to invite a friend to remote play but he sees what I do but he can't play in any way
