How to learn new abilites?

You have a book, ypu have a character, ypu use the book, it disappears and nothing happend

Hi! Using an ability book will unlock the ability for your character in combat. If you check the "Abilities" tab in the menu, you will find the new ability listed there.

And it's don't work, it just steal your book, and recycle too. Or am i too lucky to find bug. And exp potion too don't work as it says
UPD: reload of game fix this, but i still don't know why this happend to me, now it works

I am glad a mere reload could resolve the issue. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I wouldn't go and call you "lucky", but this is indeed the first time I received a report about this. I'll conduct my usual investigation just in case.

Hi, I had the same problem. Haven't relaunched but I hope that fixes it. I lost many skill books already because I assumed there was something more to learning the skills that I was missing

Hi! I am very sorry that has happened to you! Do you remember if specific abilities or all of those you tried to learn within that one session were not obtained? Also, could you verify if the abilities show up after relaunching the game?

In any case, I'll release some ability books in the form of a gift for the next update to hopefully make up for these kind of losses experienced by you and those not reaching out.
