stuck very early

stuck in the room just after you get the assault rifle. can't find any way forward. Pushed a button on a console and got a cut scene. There is a boiler with a flame coming out of it. Tried shooting pretty much everything. No doors or vents that I can see.

Thnx, but I got past that one. I am in the next set of rooms (or the one after that) with no way forward.

There's a green button which opens the double doors. Its in the big room where you get your assault rifle.
