bombs and dynamite

I'm new at this game and I finally made bombs and dynamite but I can't figure out how to use them. I tried every slot and every button. Can someone please explain this to me. Thanks

Dynamite has preset locations and you can only use it there.
Bombs, when i remember right, you need to equip in your weapon slot or in one of the quick slots to switch to them and then throw them.

We (coop) used them exaclty once because they need some time to go off after throwing them, cause friendly and self damage and their overall damage is about what you deal with your weapon so they came out is as an awkward to use, dangerous weapon and we never used them again.
