Canyon Puzzle - again

So I've searched the forum, and all I can think of is I have an incorrect item But I have 5 items: a rock, meat, coal, skin, and water I've tried both raw and pure water, but I can't get it to do anything. So at this point I'm stuck, and not sure how to proceed, unless I just start trying random combinations of the items;

In my three experiences playing through the game, I've had the same issue where I misread one or two of the mazes and end up with some of the wrong items. If you took screenshots I recommend looking at them again and checking to see if you did the mazes right. If not, try running back and checking them individually. If that doesn't work, try double checking the the symbols to see if you are using the right items. If all else fails, try posting screenshots of the circles on this forum and see if someone can help you figure it out. Good luck, and I hope you solve this issue soon :).

So, the web page I found that listed what all of the items represented listed "ember" as "coal". Switched that out and it worked first try. Thanks for the link above, it really helped.

Okay this is fine on describing what the items are but I have a real issue, I have 3 items in position 1 and position 3 and 4 are nothing. Now what?

It doesn't matter which position you put the items in, as long as you have the 5 correct items
