Liquid Nitrogen
How do you refill your tank of Liquid Nitrogen?

Not at all, at least not in the current state of the game. Whether there will be a later option to do so, I can't say.

so what happens if it runs out? and how do you make sure it doesnt run out if it cannot be filled?

Except when you open the hatch or possibly the black hole event, the pressure stabilizer can actually be turned off. Nitrogen should not be a big problem. The liquid nitrogen bottle of the temperature manager is virtually not needed and should not be a concern either.

EDIT: Of course, this statement is only true for the current state of the game and as long as you do not manipulate the atmospheric pressure in any other way.

The LN bottle is the least problematic component of them all. It will refill with the right conditions of normality. Its practically self dependant.

You can survive for over an hour in hardcore, and the nitrogen bottle will still be 99-100% full. It's not a concern currently, maybe in the future.

I haven't come across any situations yet where I suddenly had to flood the escape pod with an entire cannister of liquid nitrogen to survive, anyhow.

You can cool down the escape pod by turning off the main generator. This doesn't cost any liquid nitrogen, but it'll cause other problems.

I've been in a situation where, even on fully checking, my reactor is just getting hotter and hotter loads with hardly any real load (you'd think it would be the processor but it was fine, but I couldn't put the neutron pile in the repair bay so I don't know if that was the cause) ... even then the LN usage is very low and barely noticeable.
To prevent all my h/w from frying I ended up going full battery as I had no other way to safely use the reactor output... it bought me a few extra minutes before all my pumps failed simultaneously.

Data Connectors can mess about with malfunctions.
