I stood in front of the yellow bulbs with a fire shield and that did way more damage than shooting it. Maybe I missed something. I've only gotten there once and got him down to 300hp and I died

You only need to kill about 3k hp and the yellow bulbs to take him down :) But it requires some finess!

Are the bulbs only on the top? I thought I destroyed all of them - got the hitpoints down to 900 but then died.

You still need to deal some additional damage except from the bulbs. The bulbs get you a long way though! Edit: yes it only has bulbs on the top

Can you fix it so you don't spawn in directly on top of it. I normally lose a good 1/4 of hp within the first second.

More frustrated. I've only made it to the level after the boss once in 13 hours of playing. It would be nice to have a save point after beating a major boss, even though I know that's not the style of game you are making.
