Soft Lock in Leinhart Stealth Mission

In Leinhart's campaign there's a mission where you have to sneak through a camp to get to a rebel Dark Elf Leader's position and capture him. If you are seen before either a Scout or Leinhart's unit itself sees the Dark Elf Leader's unit it will soft lock you. By that I mean even if you manage to kill every enemy unit on the map the mission step for Capturing the Leader will never complete, it will actually give you the step again like you didn't just stab the man several times in the face.

Not really game breaking as there is a way around it but would like to see it fixed because I used to run through Leinhart's campaign quite a bit back in the day.
