The Big Ones are killable, problem with Daggers is, that you have to get very very close... not a great feeling with that circle swing that cut`s your Health in half
It's possible that the game is making it hard for you, since the hitboxes of some weapons don't seem to be too sharp. But you will always land the attack if you are in the right position.
The niss are dificult, but you can usually hear them when they are close. Always try to bait their combo so you have more time to attack them.
As far as i know, there is no way to go over the cobweb gap. It's just a death trap.
As a matter of fact, the game HAS a hit chance, which depends on perception. On top of that, every enemy has a chance to dodge! That dodge has no visual effect.
@ Kitto Hit Chance or not actually being in the game, and if not this is so much worse, when you are right up in an undead's face, and not a hit is landed, there is seriously something wrong with the fighting mechanics here.
I can kill the Niss with little problem usually. it's when they jump out at you from nowhere right after taking out three spiders and are already half dead that I have issues with them. I have even taken two out at once and lived to tell the tale. That was in the prison cells, I was after the one that is always in the bone pit there, and another one snuck up on me from behind.
Did you go diagonal across the gap or right against the wall?
Not being able to get out of lockpick/prybar action when something comes up behind you while opening something is also getting old.
I have had similar issues with taking a potion and having something jump out at me just as I have taken it. By the time the take potion action is over you're dead.
