Game closing/crashing after the 'language select' screen, just after launching.

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone has had the same issue and if so, have you managed to find a solution?

I launch the game from the initial pop-up window, it loads fine. When I get to the language select screen, I'm able to toggle through the different languages. When I select the language I want (UK) and press continue, the game closes.

I've tried speaking to EA support, which was like pulling teeth. Truly awful. I've got a high spec PC, I've re-installed the game multiple times, I've reinstalled windows, all my drivers are up to date, I've toggled off Windows Media, I've turned off Steam, Nvidia and Origin overlays, I've run as admin, I've also has two different versions of the game (Beckham and Champions addition). It's bypassed in the firewall and anti-virus too. I'm not sure where else to go from here. I gave up with EA support the moment their advice was 'have you tried resetting the network adapter' - seriously EA!?

From what I'm told, the next screen is a video clip - which makes me wonder if there is a media specific issue? Not sure what, but it's the closest I am to a resolution.

Any tips would be really, really appreciated.

Try this guys, go to: \Documents\FIFA 21 open the fifasetup.ini with notepad find this line DIRECTX_SELECT = 0 and change the zero to 1.

It did work for me.
but my issue was crashing opening packs and in replays.

Ok folks, I have a fix that worked for me. Most of the guides encourage you to run FIFA 21 in compatibility mode, which is fine. I already did that. HOWEVER, I then did the same thing for Origin. Find the Origin launcher (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Origin.exe), right-click properties, and on the compatibility tab set compatibility to Windows 8 and tick the box which allows program to run as administrator. Once done, restart your machine and try launching FIFA again. You should get an Origin box pop-up to say that program is running in compatibility mode. This then allowed the game to work for me.

Nah. If you can't launch the game to begin with, it's probably Origin. If the game crashes during, it might be Direct X. In that case, try editing the fifasetup.ini file (\Documents\FIFA 21) DIRECTX_SELECT = 0 to 1 (or 1 to 0).

it worked for me, but when i find a game on division rivals, the game close '-' ????? ♥♥♥♥ this game
