Formation reset mid game!!! READ THIS

Not long ago i was on a 8 game losing steak in fifa 21 seasons game and couldn't figure out what the heck is going. Until today! So this game keeps resetting my players positions and roles that i set up for them. here's an example: I have Mahrez playing right winger and Silva as an attacking mid. Mahrez has instructions to stay forward during defensive play and play wide. So during the game i realized that mahrez is playing attacking mid and Silva is CM and KDB winger and also, all of their roles are set to default too. Happens every single time i play this game. I remember i used to have the same issue with fifa 18 on XBOX.
Does anyone know why its happening and what could be the solution? thank you

do you use the D-Pad to go attacking or defensive? because you set the team up in the balanced preset and unless you also set up the attacking/defensive - ultra attacking/ultra defensive preset it will change back or "reset" as you say.
