No, Fifa gameplay is way worse. It's so arcadey and looks nothing like football. There is no momentum or gravity, the players float around the field. It's like the developers are ice hockey fans and have never watched or played a game of football in their life. The only reason to play is for the larger playerbase, better servers and more varied multiplayer modes and competitions.
I eventually got it and, as a returning player from Fifa 11 or 12 I'm having a good time. I play only singleplayer, mostly on FUT, but I´m also messing around Volta and tried career mode. Career seems the mode that needs something more, didn't quite hook me. Volta and FUT however are giving me a good time. I understand that for a Fifa 20 or 19 player almost nothing changed, but if like me you didn't play a Fifa for like 10 years or more (played PES 2018) it is a very fun game.
