save file disappeared

my steam has been having issues all day, like the game would not open unless i launched it from steam (the shortcut on my desktop/taskbar was just causing it to crash) so im hoping this is something that can be fixed.

i had the opening screen up in the background while i tried to pick a show to listen to while i played, and when i came back, my only save file was gone. i dont think i have a backup but im wondering if this has happened to anyone else like maybe i somehow clicked it to delete it or something while i was tabbed out? is there anything that can be done about this?

it was 88% completion and i am so crushed
