MacOS, Screen Freezing During Loading

I'm experiencing a recurring issue while playing Cult of the Lamb on MacOS.

During loading screens, the game frequently freezes.
The only way to unfreeze it is to switch to another space/desktop and then return.
This happens regularly and disrupts the gameplay experience. Has anyone else encountered this? Any known fixes?

same here, also found the same workaround. been getting some crashes during loading screens now too. quite annoying.

Also experiencing this issue - it seems like 90% of the time this happens that switching to another desktop and then back resolves the issue, but the other 10% of the time (and usually when I'm in the middle of a dungeon run), it seems like forcequitting the application is the only solution.

I am curious - I've not had this issue on a windows PC, but I had been playing keyboard and mouse on that system. On the Mac I've been playing with a controller - are you playing with a controller or keyboard? Curious if it's a system issue or if the controller could somehow be contributing...
