I started a list of bugs but then realized the discord community had a much more in-depth one, here is their list if you wish to see it, with possible workarounds included.

I have recently updated the bug list. So far the number of documented bugs is 23.

i'm having a bug/soft lock on the spider stage where the spider sacks never drop and i'm on the room for 5-10 minutes

Follower standing around and do nothing and you can not interact with him

Not sure if this is mentioned but I also encountered soft-locks a few times when indoctrinating a new follower. It hangs instead of showing me the Follower name and customize menu. (I can pause and bring up my inventory still)

two more bugs I've encountered is getting frozen while cleaning up vomit than a follower is already cleaning up (You're stuck in place and have to relaunch the game to fix it). Another is by selecting a dissenting follower that's about to leave for increasing their xp with some npc. I forgot it's name but it was in a question mark node in the second zone. The dissenting follower will be stuck in place and you can't interact with them or sacrifice them. Again this is fixed by relaunching the game.

Don't forget about the known bug of snail shells not spawning, locking out one of the follow forms making it currently impossible to get all of the forms right now (at least for most people).

In the water area I just ran into an invisible enemy I couldn't hurt. I believe a summoner failed to summon the monster correctly or I killed it as it was summoning but it some how finished summoning, which led to it becoming invisible and invincible.

Ive had two softlocks

One happened when I somehow picked up a weapon while I was in the process of picking up a different one, locking me in place forever.

Another happened when I somehow entered a room without the game ever spawning enemies, meaning I was just stuck in the room forever.

Finally, I'm unable to load my save anymore, however based on the descriptions of more popular issues, It seems to be a different thing, as I'm stuck LOADING, instead of being presented with a flat black screen.

My mate just had a bug on the switch ver literally after the game starts where the lamb got stuck in the part just before you room transition

Just got the Massive Monster Statue and I cannot get my last Follower unlock, cant pray to it

Both my lumberyard and stone mine have literally stopped working. I can't assign anyone to them (and I know I have people assigned to them anyway). I was able to get it back after fully closing out the game

Also getting some bad lag when making large amounts of food. The bar will stutter for a split second, resulting in a huge chance I burn the meal

I can say I've seen a few of those besides the Black Screen one. Mainly the Floor tiles one and the trees. Haven't had any issues with Rituals or Quests yet, or buildings that stop working.

I DID have a quest fail early, but that was due to it involving cooking some specific food for a specific follower, and I took the quest RIGHT AFTER I HAD COOKED LIKE 15 dishes, so I took the quest, and the follower went and picked up a random dish from the floor and it failed. I saw it as less of a bug and more like "ill timing", but some protection should still exist for that, yes.

As a whole, after the black screen bug, my experience has been pretty much bug free and lag/stutter free (and my PC ain't no spring chicken). I've very much fully updated my cult by now and unlocked all rituals and buildings, too.

I recently got a bug where a follower was stuck in the eating animation all day. I think it was because i ate the bowl of food the follower was going to eat. Follower went to sleep fine when it became night time.

I think this follows under "Buildings stopped working" but no one was able to work at one of my refineries. I moved it around to 3 different places, thinking it was because the follower couldn't fit beside it or something. But after deleting it and building a new one, it works.

Sadly only way to fix it is to restart as you discovered. If your cooking station disappears, that also is the only solution to fix it. Save and restart the game.
