[BUG] Lost to a Bishop after it already died, missing a Heretic Heart permanently

I killed Kallamar and managed to die afterwards by running into a stray bullet after his death animation played out. I'm locked out of obtaining his Heretic Heart because I was sent back to my cult and the game still thinks I haven't killed Kallamar because the quest to kill him is still unchecked. Going back into the dungeon and rekilling him does not give a Heretic Heart or progress the quest either. Oddly enough, I can still proceed to the next area, and I was still able to get a cutscene from The One Who Waits after respawning.

I've accepted that my save is probably permanently bugged but I thought you guys should know about this

Exact same thing just happened to me, except I was in the process of the animation for receiving the heart when I died to a spore/bullet or whatever. Next area opened, but now I'm locked out of this heart forever. Going back and killing the "witness" bosses just drops the eyes.

Yeah i had the same issue after beating Kallamar and during the mini cut scene it does after you kill him one of his attack abilities was still going and i died during that cut scene so i lost his heart as well i hope this gets fixed quickly, i went back to fight and still it didnt give it me

exactly same thing happened to me, on kallamar after his dying scene and the projectiles still intact somehow. I beat him once again afterwards and can't seem to get the heart. also his quest got bugged, stacked with the next dungeon and cannot be cleared even after I beat him once again.

Something similar here. Except I didn't die. Kallamar kept attacking me after he died. I was able to harvest his heart while he was still swinging and teleport out with omnipresence. I got the animation for killing him at my cult, but I didn't receive the heart and the quest didn't complete. Doesn't even complete when I refight him.

I have this exact same issue. Died during his death animation because I had 1/2 heart left and he continued to shoot his bullets and they hit me.

Same thing for me, except it was with Heket. Right before they died they fired off a bunch of homing projectiles, and after the death cutscene played, they instantly killed me.

I'm so sad this happened to me too. Now the quest can't progress further

Same happened to me on Kallamar. Killed him and when the game started moving again after his kill animation I got hit by a bullet. I didn't receive his heart. I've gone back and killed him three more times and still haven't received the heart. I also have a quest to kill him and the final priest that won't add the kill credit either.
