Quest Immediately Failed?

I took a quest from a follower "perform the enrichment ritual".

Upon taking it, I immediately get a message saying the quest failed. I don't understand why...is this a bug?

I went to my tent right after and did an enrichment ritual but it didn't matter because the quest was already in my list of failed quests.

Had the same issue three times now. Forgot what one of the quests was but the other two were asking to imprison someone that stole stuff and who was already dead, and another saying they wanted me to sacrifice them. Both were considered failed immediately.

same issue here, but for me it happened on "perform the enrichment ritual" and on quest with marriage

there seems to be something off with how the game decides who the target of a quest is. i had a follower ask me to kill them, after accepting the quest the quest showed me another guy to kill than the one who asked me.
i also got a quest to kill someone, but that guy was already dead so the quest immediately failed.
had another quest to make someone eat poop, immediately failed too.
my guess is the quest targets a guy whos not alive anymore instead of the one actually giving you the quest and therefore fails.

I thought all quests would be timed based, but it just goes to immediate fail as if you don't have the resources right off the bat and it's getting annoying.

This also happened to me.

Same thing here. The quest will sometimes assign a different follower as the quest target, but that follower is no longer at my camp, and so the quest immediately fails.

I got that on Ocean's Bounty. Didn't even make it inside the temple before the failure notification popped.

Oh, and the ingame bug report fails with a HTTP/1.1 413 Payload Too Large, guess 16MB of log is a bit hefty.

I'm having the same problem. 3 quests in a row failed, I just don't accept them at all anymore.

Same here. I sacrificed a follower (called Roger) and since then when another follower gives me a quest, it instantly fails because the quest giver becomes the follower I sacrificed before for no reason. For example, my follower "Yarnaar" asked me to marry it, I accepted, but the quest failed and the text said that Roger gave me that quest.

bump this my followers keep telling me to do quests prison, marry, kill, sacrifice a member whos already dead and buried and instantly failing

I've had this happen multiple times as well. I just lost 90 faith in about 5 seconds because i got a quest to perform a ritual which immediately failed, followed by a quest to send a follower on a missionary mission which also immediately failed. Went from being high on faith to being one day away from a mass exodus. This needs to get hotifixed asap, it kinda ruins the experience a bit when i have to spend 30 minutes getting my faith back up because the quest system is poorly constructed.

I am getting this for basically every quest that involves a ritual. It instafails and I lose 45 faith every time.
