New followers no longer showing up for indoctrination

Any new followers I get no longer show up for indoctrination, regardless of where I get them from. I saw a recent Reddit post about how the re-indoctrination stone is bugged and that it prevents you from getting new followers. Not sure if this is what is going on but I do have the re-indoctrinating stone purchased. Tried leaving to a different area and then returning to HQ like a comment mentioned but new followers still don't show up.

Same thing is happening to me, I hope they fix it :/ I'm down to like 20 followers because they keep dying of old age and I can't add more
