Follower kitchen stops working?

I got the follower kitchen and set up some food at first to be done (3 star dishes) - the cook worked as intended, all dandy.

But then after I returned from the mission, I set up more food to be cooked, went again and returned to my folks starving. Now no matter what I do, nothing seems to send them to cook - i put food in queue, no matter what star, no matter what amount, when I find a follower to give him the cooking 'job' the wheel says that there are no tasks available. Very confused, would appreciate any guesses on what's going on/help.

Oooof.. sounds like some got dropped in a script for the a.i to "see" the work station. If you haven't tried already: Remove the building, save+exit fully, relaunch game, rebuild the building- queue a couple cheap dishes as test- see if they pick it back up? I had something similar happen to the Missionary building and this helped. If not, report in-game so the Devs can see more of the tech-side of your save to see what may be stuck.

I manged to get it fixed by restarting the game, but it definitely sounds like a script got broken somehow along the way. Sadly by now the save is gone (autosave saved over it after I checked when reloaded) so nothing to report

If anyone in the future has the same issue, though, the answer is to just restart the game.
