Follower names always change back to default

When recruiting new followers, I can edit the name and all the other customizing options. (Let's say we make a yellow Bee looking one named Buzz).

When I'm looking over the changes before I hit accept a final time I check the name, Buzz, and they're a yellow Bee. As soon as I hit accept they're still a yellow Bee, but their name is now showing as whatever the default name was (ex: Balefar, renamed Buzz, instantly goes back to Balefar upon hitting accept).

This has happened to 100% of my followers without exception. I've never been able to have a custom name stick (about 20 or so different attempts at naming a follower across 3 different saves).

Note: I've exclusively only played on the stream deck)

I have the same issue, posted about it too. I was naming my follower from Animal Crossing characters, lol. Hope it’s fixed.
