Game Freeze from Picking Up Weapon Upgrade

I was on the third run you make after you arrive at your cult grounds grabbing an upgrade before heading to the third boss in the game. Upon picking up the Razor II weapon, my character instead picked up the ranged weapon upgrade, something I hadn't chosen, and when I went to swap in for my original ranged weapon instead of recycling it, my character dropped the Razor II. Upon attempting to grab the Razor II to maybe fix this bug, my character froze. The music and animations in the background seem to be working fine, but my character is froze mid-animation. Wish I could attach a .jpeg screencap on here. I'm going to restart the game in hopes that it'll solve the issue.

Hey, I just had a similar bug happen to me as well (already submitted an in-game bug report, but wanted to add stuff here)!

Thankfully it was a new save and I hadn't progressed much in the game;

I was on hard mode, in Darkwoods:
- After clearing a room, was choosing between a weapon or curse upgrade
- Chose the weapon upgrade and seemingly picked it up, but instead of dropping my old weapon, my curse dropped.
- Confused, I tried to pick up my curse again, and the game froze.
- The TAB and ESC keys were working, and like shown in the screenshots, the new weapon symbol was in the place of where a curse symbol should be!

this EXACT same thing happened to be had to restart the run again. another bug is in talking cut scenes that if you leave the area before the cut scene happens then it doesnt trigger and you cant advance
