Damned Followers - can they be ressurected or brought back any other way?

My The One Who Waits got damned and now I don't have the possibility to make a new one (since the Follower form seems to be not usable on other Followers, right?) or bring him back... is there any way to do this or to have him I'd have to play the whole game all over again?

u tried reviving them through rituals?

Simply go on a crusade and defeat them three times; After they died, just do the Ritual of Resurrection and they'll be back in your cult

You dont even need to revive them, they simply spawn at the Indoctrination Circle like a brand new follower does.

Granted, i havent dammed any unique follower so idk if they're different.

I've heard this is a glitch, and if you defeat them in the Switch version, I can verify it just kills them and you get their meat (you can resurrect later)

No, I'm specifically talking about damned followers. My save file already killed shamura. And these guys have the typical "You've damned me, here I am to kill you" speech and fighting three times.

Weird, all my dammed followers ended up coming back, when i defeat them i take the worm looking thing off them and then send them back to the circle, where i can indoctrinate them again when im done with the crusade.

Was it like that on release of the DLC but got patched and the Switch version is still behind?

I know the switch version is behind because they never fixed the issue with sozo yet, but I'm still almost certain that "damned followers get sent back" is a bug/oversight

Okay I was wrong. This was in today's patch notes for console:

Damned followers when defeated will be recruited to your cult rather than killed.

So maybe the dissenting followers are supposed to be killed.

Hello! Once defeated, Damned and Dissented Followers will be back in your cult at the reindoctrination circle once defeated during crusades now. This is the same across PC and console platforms now!
