Why is it still possible to run out of wood during the tutorial & get locked into your camp?

Played some of the game earlier in the day, took a nap, came back and started it up and got barraged with follower requests, so naturally I took care of those. Then I decided I'd finally get to doing the ritual, since all I remembered was that I needed bones for it, and it turns out I need ten wood for it... only my followers have cut down all the trees, and so I have to wait for saplings to regrow, which apparently do so only fast enough for me to get three wood per day.

This has apparently been an issue since release, and I find it hard to believe that in all of this time the devs haven't so much as noticed this issue. At the very least, there should be an accessibility option to prevent situations like this.

Much appreciated. I finally managed to get enough wood to perform the ritual after an in game week, and by that point two of my followers were dissenting (I guess I'm not far enough in the game to actually do anything about that except slow it down with re-education), and if the last thing I had built wasn't a bunch of farm plots and a few extra bed rolls they'd probably all be sick & starving, too.

Have you seen how many hours I have clocked for this game? Such a question tells me you have not and the tutorial doesn't have you building ANYTHING major unless its YOUR CHOICE, because the maximum number of followers you can get during the tutorial phase is five maybe six if you happen to find Helob, that's 60 Wood for beds, WHERE IS THE REST GOING?

I'll take that as a no, then.

And I'll take that as willful ignorance since you can view someone's hours when you mouse over their profile image, you're trying to have a "smoking gun" against someone with 500+ hours M8 compared to your meager 6 hours.

I mean, to be fair, your hours played really aren;t visible, even though theirs are. And just because you haven;t run into a certain issue doesn't mean it doesn't exist for other players- some folks just have other ways of playing, and newer players may not have an easy time figuring out cult management outside of trial and error.

Your profiles private level 0, so no, no one can see your hours played. But you do sometimes come across as if you might know some things
