Can we get Baal and Aym back after reuniting them?

I just accidentally reunited Baal with his mother after turning him into a demon for support in a dungeon run (I reacted to the quest symbol since I thought it was about an artifact or something) and I was shocked when I realized that he suddenly morphed into a part of the background. I had literally just married him and now, I'm just sad I can't get him back. Any chance for him (and Aym, as I've read) to return to the cult one day?

I tried sacrificing followers wearing extra Dark/Light necklaces and the sacrifice gave me divine and gold as if the necklaces were never on them. I'm sad too but I'm not sure if this means that it is impossible to get them back.

Reuniting Aym and Ball with their mother will remove them from your cult permanently. There is no way to bring them back as followers, but they will show up on future crusades!

This is weird, sounds like a bug if you didn't recieve Baal and Aym! Could you fill in a bug report in-game? You can do that by navigating to the pause menu, and clicking on the lil bug icon :)

Not a bug. This was after I gave Baal and Aym to Forneus. I attempted it for OP lol.

When you say they will appear in future crusades, will it be the exact baal and aym? I sacrificed my "The One Who Waits" for both so they would inherit his immortality trait, and am hoping they will have this upon their recovery.
