Why can't I cook the fish?

I have so much Tuna and Salmon from fishing, but they don't appear in the cooking recipes. Only the small fish. I can only sell them for gold.

So they are not used for food at all? Some later recipes that are still blacked out they don't use this fish either? It's only good to be sold for gold?

You can use both Tuna and Salmon in the magnificent mixed meal and then you can also use salmon in the tasty fish meal but other than that yeah just sell

There is something I need to do to be able to make tasty fish meal and that other one? They don't show up for me in the recipes.

After you gather all the ingredients like the pumpkin or the egg yoke for example the repcipes will open up
The magnificent mixed meal requires:
4 Beetroot
2 Tuna
2 Meat
So you have to gather and have meat and beetroot first to have the recipe unlock

Salmon is needed for
Tasty Fish Meal
Modest Mixed Meal
So since it needs 4 Pumpkin, 2 Salmon and 2 Meat you first have to have Pumpkin and meat (meat is from birds in Darkwood, activated trap scarecrows or destroying firepits in dungeons. There are a few other sources like the meat room or offering reward or the missionary but those are the common sources)
