Edit: Oh, another reason why the final boss likely can't be repeated is because its technically four different boss fights in one single fight where as Leshy,Heket,Kallamar and Shamura all have one single fight with multiple stages within the same fight.
From a programming standpoint I think its very possible still to make the final boss repayable, but they didn't bother. Which I don't really mind but it is a strange choice considering they made all other bosses replayable.
Well, I 100%ed the Game on Sunday, so I probably won't touch this game again for quite a while :D 20€ well spent.
I added onto that comment, the likely reason why it's not repeatable is because its technically four boss fights in one single fight as you have Aym,Baal, unchained One who Waits and then the final phase of the fight which also has different stages within the fight for each eye you destroy, all the other fights are a single fight with multiple stages all for the same boss, but the final boss is as I said four boss fights in one which can be seen a mini boss rush and those kind of fights tend not to be repeatable outside of challenges. [/quote]
Yeah but the boss fight being multiple stages doesn't really change anything, you could still implement it to be repeatable, both from a story- and programming perspective.
I get why they didnt do it, probably thought it is too much effort because most wont even use this feature, in contrast to the 4 Bosses which you can repeat for resources and the achievements while playing, not after beating the game.
Agreed. They just have to not give the reward you get for sparing him and then replay is fine. They could even have some lore to it like making it tied to a new ritual like "Glorious memory ritual - this ritual lets you relive your greatest moment" or something similar.
I don't really know what you're trying to get at honestly. Why wouldn't they be able to repeat it after? It doesn't need to be a ritual even, just go into the big middle door and destroy the statue like the other bosses. The other bosses being repeatable doesn't really "make sense" either. All I'm saying is there are a lot of way how to implement this with it even making sense but they didn't, which i can completely understand.
