Fishing for hours and no lobster

anyone know if there is a special requirement or different location for getting a lobster in this game? I have been fishing for hours and letting my followers all die in the mean time and cant get it. I have gotten so many octopi, crabs, and squids but have yet to get a lobster. Also I dont have the fishing ritual so I cant use that

i did fish for a while before i got a lobster. Not sure if i had on the ritual when i got it. But i have gotten more, so they are there.

Couple alternatives: 1) Some paths chests drop food instead of coins; quite often you get fish. 2) I ended up getting crabs from one of the cards that cause enemies to drop fish when killed, I think you can buy it from the shop there.

FWIW lobster was the first thing I fished up; I never did fish up a crab.

Weird, in my game octopi and lobsters were very common but I never got a single crab or squid until I used the fishing ritual. After that I very quickly started getting crabs, but it wasn't until a few in game days later I started getting squid. I kind of think the game just randomly picks creatures to be rarer and locks them behind number of fish caught or something. After getting them the 1st time they seem to be more common? Could just be luck and variance though.

Run the ritual of fishing to get the fishing items you dont have. You will get them pretty much instantly

I caught well over 100 fish before I got a lobster. The other 3 were all in the first batch of fish. I promise you'll get it eventually, just hang in there. As others have mentioned, the fishing ritual may help (although I picked the farming ritual instead). Good luck!

Yeah! With that ritual you will get lots of rare fishes and you will complete the quest easily!

you will get a ritual to get extra fish for two days in a row.
When i used that i got LOTS of lobsters, crabs and squids. (im just in anura)

Aim for the big fish shadows with the ritual on, by the second day of fishing with the ritual you should get all the special fish for the quest

I gave up on catching the fish and went to hunt snails for all the follower types but since all my followers died my save got deleted.... thought when it said I would permanently die would be from my next death in a run
