Still, I found this mechanic really disappointing, especially considering how much effort it takes to unlock each fleece in the first place.
You could also take the fleece that boosts curses but halves melee damage so that way you can still deal decent damage to the boss if you have a good mob spell but bad boss spell.
Since you cant get hit during the boss fight for these, having the power to kill any boss with like 2 combos, especially daggers, before they can even do anything, is so great and makes those achievements so easy.
definitely pick the death doctrine first because your followers wont be scared when a cult memeber dies
good luck!
It gives you 4 Tarot cards at the start of a crusade, which can make you seriously overpowered if you get good ones. Plus, it saves me the trouble of hunting down Tarot rooms—huge time-saver.
It fits best with my risky and random way of fighting, where I just go in and adapt on the fly.
If I want extra hearts, I use demons instead. I get the benefits without needing a health-focused fleece, and turning hot-headed followers, snorers, or really just any annoying ones into demons saves a lot of trouble.
PS: if you like the aesthetics of other fleeces more you can change it in game to look like another fleece
