IS THERE ANY WAY TO RECOVER A SAVE FILE???

So i just wanted to play cult of lamb, and instead of choosing needed save, i accidentally DELETED IT. I was 60+ hours into and im so upset. If someone knows if i can get my world back, pls help! :((

You can check the save file location for back up saves!

Paste this path in the 'address bar' of File Explorer and hit Enter:
%localappdata%low\Massive Monster\Cult Of The Lamb

Copy the 'saves' folder to your desktop to backup your most recent save for later use.

Click into the 'backup' folder and you will see backups of save data like so:

a. meta_0.1.json
b. meta_0.2.json
c. meta_0.3.json
d. slot_0.1.json
e. slot_0.2.json
f. slot_0.3.json
g. And so on…
The 'meta' and 'slot' files are a pair that make up each of your save files in game. Copy both respective 'meta' and 'slot' files and paste them in the Cult of the Lamb\saves folder

a. Example, to restore Save Slot 1: Copy files 'meta_0.1.json' and 'slot_0.1.json'

b. The last decibel defines a different backup:
i. 'meta_0.1.json' is backup 1 of save slot 1
ii. 'meta_0.2.json' is backup 2 of save slot 1
iii. 'meta_0.3.json' is backup 3 of save slot 1


Head back into the Cult of the Lamb\saves folder

Delete any original save files that you are trying to replace with the backup files you just copied

a. 'meta_0.json' and 'slot_0.json' are the original save files for save slot 1 in the game


Rename the backup files by removing the last decimal point and number from their names, to now make them appear as the original save files were named:

a. Rename 'meta_0.1' to 'meta_0'
b. Rename 'slot_0.1' to 'slot_0'

Launch the game and open that save slot to see if your progress is back where you want it.

But what if the files in the backup folder are named persistence.(numbers).json??
