Hello, and thanks for the question! That will really depend on your playstyle. If you speedrun the game, you can finish it in couple of hours. If you take your time with sidequests, interactions etc.. you can get to like 12-15h of play time.

I was just looking for a topic like this and I must say I'm a bit surprised.

15h for a roguelike is barebones af imo. Sure, I didn't expect Binding of Isaac, Hades or Dead Cells but 15h is a bit low to do everything.

What I meant is to finish the main story line. But if we look at it from a perspective of finishing all quests getting all the buildings, unlocking everything it will take more time for sure. Was just talking about the main quest line!

Thanks a lot for clearing it up. In that case I will keep it in mind when the release date gets closer.

Here's a good clip from Jimp regarding the play through of Cult of the Lamb: https://youtu.be/vDwqfVPFmx8?t=80

I will probably get the game, but what makes or breaks a roguelite for me is the longevity of each of them.. random aspects in each run, many things to unlock and room for different playstyles is what I've grown accustomed to from many others, but not many are able to really suck me in for a long time.

The demo of cult of the lamb was great though imo. Sound design, art direction, setting, animations, I love all of these things about it.

Thanks for your solid feedback. The Monsters are working really hard on it.

Glad to see this topic, i was about to ask something similar.

If the game has the basics of roguelite (randomness, events, random dungeons, etc...) and if the dev work hard to continue to add content like new area, npc, boss, game mode (for exemple a mode who had modifier during a run in a dungeon for better loot ), etc.. the game will be perfect !

And when i see how the dev work hard in the game, i'm not worried. Continue your hard work guys, you are the best !!!

The Monsters are working hard getting ready for August 11 and are making plans for the post-launch content. It's going to be cute and cultish!
