I don't think so? the devs said people could play co op through steam remote play, they didnt specify having to use controllers
Then you should be able to add in a co-op partner in the pause menu
I don't think you'd be able to do play it without a controller from one of you. The way I remember remote play working is that you're streaming the game to your friend and they're virtually playing on your copy. That means you can't have two people using the same input as them trying to use the keyboard emulates *you* trying to use your keyboard
Kinda like how you can't have two people using the mouse because there's only one mouse on your computer that can be used at a time
We went through the process, but player 2 is unable to do anything. Even upon summoning the goat, player 2 is unable to control anything. Their inputs don't do anything.
One thing you might need to do is check your steam overlay with remote play and see what authorization that you've given your friend. Normally you can select which inputs each player is using which enables you to lock your friend out of using conflicting hardware. Such as not letting their keyboard to effect the game even if they try to use it
Sometimes though when you're using remote play the second player doesn't have any permissions so you need to give them some. Find which input that you're going to allow them to use and give them access to it. If you're going to use a controller and they're going to use the keyboard and mouse, give them access to both
You'll need to plug in a second controller to your computer to let you configure co-op. And even then, the only way we were able to make remote play actually work is for both players to plug in a controller to their computer.
yeah changing the permissions in the remote play settings on the overlay fixed the problem me and my friend were having :))
Otherwise will need a controller!
